Interested in chatting live with the editors?

This post is to do a little fishing….

Leucrota Press Blog Radio

As we’re just starting up our new live radio station as well as hosting this blog, we’re curious if anyone would be interested in having a live show with the editors of Leucrota Press to simply call in and chat, and we’re leaving it up to you readers to tell us what you want to talk about.

The topic can be pretty much anything, from publishing tips to editing, from plot to characterization, or about query letters or simply about what we want at this house. It really doesn’t matter, and we’re waiting for your feedback.

Remember, this will be a live online chat that you can call into via your computer or through a phone line (landline or cell), and you’ll be able ask the available editors your questions.

There is no date or time set for this yet, like we said, we’re just fishing to see if we get enough interest. If we do, then we’ll go forward and set up a schedule. Just let us know.

  1. It sounds like something that would be of interest to writers like me and maybe readers who’ve picked up at least one of the books published by Lecucrota (figuring this wouldn’t take place before the second novel is released).

Time zone differences may be a factor for some, especially if the chat is scheduled during a weekday evening.

  2. Terry,

This chat wouldn’t be something that would happen for a while– like you said, it would be best for a few more of our books to be out.

We just threw the idea out to see if it was something to think about in the future, and if we’d get any response. We get quite a few comments on the blog, and figured it might be another interesting outlet. As far as time zones, again that’s something that would be based upon responses and a possible general consensus.

    Thanks for your input.

  3. I would be very interested in this! Authors and publishers could both benefit from chatting informally.

  4. I could like this, easily. At my last signing four other authors and myself has a real cool time chatting the biz, and wish we could have visited longer than we had (early dinner before the event).

It’s pretty cool to talk shop when there’s no one else around with the same interests.

  5. Hi Will, been a while.

Like I said, we’re just trying to see if there’s any interest before throwing ourselves out there… You remember a few comments a while back by another poster when we first started chatting. Amazingly, it seems sometimes people are put off by a simple informal discussion between writers and editors, or simply published and unpublished writers.

We’re not gods (though I wish, sometimes) and neither are published writers. We’ve just made it a little farther than some. It’s ok to talk with us, we don’t bite.

The chat is meant for fun and asking a few questions that have been itching at the back of your mind. That’s all.

  6. I think there are groups of people who would be super interested in this experience…the big thing is getting the word out
